For the second year in a row, an exhibition hockey match to raise funds for cancer research will be held at Léo Crépin Arena Aug. 25 at 8 p.m. Maxime Talbot of the Pittsburgh Penguins is the game's honorary president.

The formula is the same as last year when local businessmen pay $300 for the privilege of playing against National Hockey League stars. Following the contest, a shootout will be held to entertain the crowd, regardless of the score.

In addition to Talbot, players who have confirmed their presence include Guillaume Latendresse and Mathieu Carle of the Montreal Canadiens, Mercier's own Louis Robitaille of the AHL's Hershey Bears, Bruno Gervais of New York Islanders, Pierre-Marc Bouchard of Minnesota Wild, Derrick Brassard of Columbus Blue Jackets, Kris Letang of Pittsburgh, Luc Bourdon of Vancouver Canucks, François Bouchard and Sasha Pokulok of Washington Capitals, Corey Crawford of the AHL's Norfolk Ambassadors, Alex Bolduc of St. Louis Blues, Olivier Latendresse of San Antonio in the AHL, Danny Groulx of the AHL Calder Cup champion Hamilton Bulldogs, Marc Hurtubise of the Long Beach Ice Dogs, and the list goes on and on.

One of the teams on the ice will wear the jerseys of Les Boys from the movie of the same name.

All proceeds will be handed over to the Canadian Cancer Society.
